This memorial is dedicated to the Russian human-rights campaigner, Soviet political prisoner, reporter and interpreter, Andrei Mironov. Kathy Lally, The Washington Post correspondent and Andrei’s friend, perfectly described him as “the very best of Russia and its people”.
We — the family and friends of Andrei — want to preserve his legacy and follow the investigation into his death. Everybody is welcome to contributed to this website by sharing your memories of Andrei. We particularly encourage journalists to send us the articles that Andrei assisted you on as a fixer and interpreter. To do so simply e-mail Sophia Kayes and your post will appear under Life or Press tabs. Initially your posts will be published in their original language, but with time we do intend to have the website available in three languages: English, Russian and Italian.
You are also welcome to donate towards the projects that Andrei’s family has started up. Please find more details under the Projects tab.
